One of the best parts of our job is to work with some of the best sporting individuals around, this August we held a private signing with Sheffield United’s Premier League captain Billy Sharp.
Billy has had a fantastic rise through the leagues, and has scored goals wherever he has plied his trade. His career has seen him score at Rushden and Diamonds, Scunthorpe, Doncaster Rovers, Southampton, Nottingham Forest and his childhood club Sheffield United where he has legendary status.
An even greater achievement has been bestowed upon him more recently as since the turn of the 21st century, Billy has scored more goals in the English leagues than any other player (227 goals). That’s more than Wayne Rooney (208), Jermaine Defoe (191), Sergio Aguero (164) and Frank Lampard (158).
As part of the signing Billy has signed shirts, photos, boots and captains armbands. We look forward to working with Billy again in the future and hope he continues his goal scoring prowess in the Premier League.
